Police Investigate Double Homicide in Garland County

Garland County - A terribly sad story out of Garland County as a young girl finds both of her parents dead in their beds. It happened Wednesday morning at 212 Candleberry Circle in the western part of Garland County just outside of Hot Springs. 

Police say the 11-year-old woke up Wednesday morning wondering why her mother didn't wake her up for school. When she went to check on her parents, she found her mother and step-father dead in their beds.. 

Authorities are now investigating the deaths of 66-year-old Troy Mayberry and 48-year-old Norma Jean Mayberry. Neighbors say the couple had been married for three years and they never knew of any problems with the family.

Authorities say they're investigating this case as a double homicide.
